Deidre Adams

Deidre Adams is a painter, photographer, and mixed media fiber artist. She is inspired by ordinary manmade structures and the artistic qualities that are inherent in them. The amazing texture application in her work is inspired by structures undergoing change. Effects of weather on the side of an old building which has been painted over many times reveal chipping and curling paint. A painted iron pipe exposed to salt air and revealing intricate patterns of cracking and rust. Although her subjects are often non-objective, she tends to incorporate a horizontal line that gives the piece the feel of a landscape. Deidre Adams’ work is included in a number of public, corporate and private collections including EnCana Oil & Gas in Denver, Colorado as well as several Kaiser Permanente offices in the United States.
